Mexico City.
Stay a little longer.

Give Mexico City room to breathe: arrive Wednesday to recover, use Thursday for Chapultepec and a reservation-worthy Polanco dinner, then keep Friday through Sunday for the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Stay Sunday night after the Grand Prix and depart Monday. The five-day version preserves every circuit day but makes Thursday a lighter arrival rather than pretending it is a full city day.

Mexico City city view

Choose your base

Polanco is the composed base for the Thursday museum-and-dinner day: Pujol and Quintonil are there, and the Museo Nacional de Antropología sits at the Chapultepec-Polanco edge. Roma Norte is a more central city-neighborhood alternative for restaurants and nightlife, but neither base creates a guaranteed quick circuit commute. Compare your hotel with the ticketed gate and chosen transit route. For a premium stay, select a full-service Polanco hotel with a concierge who can arrange a private airport transfer, while confirming that a hotel car is not an official circuit transfer and cannot bypass race traffic.

Move around the city

Treat the Autódromo journey as a separate decision from airport travel. MexicoGP currently lists Metro Line 9, Metrobús Line 2, Ticket2Ride round trips from selected city bases and ride-hail. Match the route to the gate printed for your zone, because access is ticket-specific. The promoter also lists ticketed perimeter buses between circuit gates. Recheck the current operational notice for road closures, bag rules and accessibility, and do not expect a fixed ride-hail return time.
