Suzuka.
Stay a little longer.

Give Suzuka the room it deserves: arrive in Nagoya on Wednesday, use Thursday for the city and a proper dinner, then devote Friday through Sunday to the Sprint-format Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka Circuit. The circuit is not central Nagoya, so choose a base and booked transport with care, sleep in Nagoya after the race, and depart Monday. The five-day version trades the city day for a light Thursday arrival.

Choose your base

Nagoya Station is the strongest all-round base: it has the published direct-bus departure and broad rail and dining access, but it is a long circuit-day commitment. A Suzuka or Shiroko-area room reduces the last leg to the circuit and makes post-session recovery easier, but has less of Nagoya's city life and should be judged against the actual shuttle or train plan. For a premium Nagoya option, Nagoya Marriott Associa is directly connected to JR Nagoya Station and lists multiple on-site restaurants. Check live April 2027 rates, availability and its transport details yourself - hotel stays do not include circuit transfers.

Move around the city

Book transport only after deciding where you will sleep. Suzuka Circuit publishes a reserved, assigned-seat direct bus from JR Nagoya Station for Friday-Sunday, separate from race admission; its current 2027 page says the trip may take about two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half hours each way. That makes Nagoya a viable but long circuit-day base. Reconfirm every 2027 route, pickup point and parking policy before purchase.
