Make the Austrian Grand Prix a six-day Murtal escape: arrive Wednesday, use Thursday for Spielberg and a proper castle dinner, then devote Friday through Sunday to the Red Bull Ring. Sleep nearby after the Grand Prix and depart Monday. The circuit is not a Vienna day trip, darling: base yourself in Spielberg, Zeltweg or Knittelfeld and choose the official transport plan that suits your ticket.

Spielberg is the close-to-circuit base, ideal when proximity matters more than a broad evening scene. Zeltweg and Knittelfeld provide more town services but require an onward trip to the Ring, so compare your actual transport choice before booking. For a premium option, ask Schönberghof Spielberg about a circuit-view room and its current event-weekend arrangements; the promoter identifies the property as overlooking the Red Bull Ring. Schloss Gabelhofen is another characterful premium stay and dining option in Fohnsdorf, but neither hotel listing establishes a room, transfer or race ticket inclusion.

Move around the city

The official 2027 long-distance bus shuttle serves more than 120 stops across Austrian states and takes passengers directly to the Red Bull Ring, with limited seats and admission sold separately. The promoter also publishes car, motorcycle and bicycle parking guidance. Choose the option you will actually use before selecting a base, and recheck the race-weekend page for current route, parking and gate details. Do not rely on an unpublished local shuttle or a fixed post-race exit time.
